About us
Väderstad was founded in 1962 by farmer Rune Stark and his wife Siw, after Rune got tired of building a new wooden cord for each growing season and instead designed one in steel. From the small workshop on the Östgötaslätten plain, it has become one of Europe's leading companies in soil preparation, sowing and planting, with machines such as the Rapid seeder, the Carrier disc implement and the Tempo and Proceed precision seed drills. The company is still owned and operated by the Stark family, now in its third generation, and a large part of the testing is done in close collaboration with farmers on farms around the world.
