Cecilia Hammenhag is an Associate Professor of Plant Breeding at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), where she leads the research area “Genomics and Phenomics of Plant Diversity.” Her research focuses on developing the crops of the future for more sustainable agriculture. In a unique project, she is collaborating with stakeholders across the entire value chain to develop field cress into a new Nordic oil crop and a renewable raw material for applications such as biofuels.
